P.E. and Sport Premium
PE/Sport Premium
Since 2013, the Government has been providing funding for each academic year in order to improve the provision of Physical Education (PE) and sports in primary schools.
For the academic year 2024-25, we received £19,550. Details of our expenditures are detailed in the documents below:
We are proud to have been awarded the School Games Mark for eight consecutive years, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to school sport and physical activity. We are especially delighted to have achieved the Platinum Mark for the third consecutive year, reflecting the highest standards of engagement, delivery, and leadership in school games.
Swimming
Since 2017, schools must publish how many pupils within their Year 6 cohort are meeting the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
Below is the data for our Year 6 cohort 2024-25:

If your school's swimming data is below national expectation, you can choose to use the Primary PE and sport premium to provide additional top-up sessions for those pupils that did not meet National Curriculum requirements after the completion of core lessons. Have you done this? |
Although our data is above national expectation, we did run top-up sessions. |
“Sport has a high profile in the school and pupils talked keenly about the successes that Queen’s Inclosure’s various sports teams have had in recent competitions.”
OFSTED 2018
“Sport is a strength of the school. Additional funding for sport is being effectively used to provide opportunities for pupils to experience a wide range of sport taught by specialists, improving their physical skills and their understanding of how to lead a healthy lifestyle. Pupils particularly enjoy sports activities during their break times.”
