Pupil Premium

In April 2011, the Government introduced Pupil Premium funding — a grant allocated to schools in addition to their main school funding. The Pupil Premium is awarded to local authorities and schools based on the number of pupils on roll who have been eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the previous six years. Each eligible pupil attracts a specific amount of funding.

We also receive a small amount of funding for pupils from Service families. If one parent is currently serving or has served in the armed forces within the last three years, please inform the school.

Schools have the freedom to use Pupil Premium funding in ways they believe will best support the progress and attainment of their most vulnerable pupils.
