Girls’ Fixture (Football)
Last week, ten of our Year 5/6 girls took part in the first round of the Hampshire Schools’ Cup, travelling away to Castle Primary. Despite a determined performance, the girls were beaten 4–1 by a strong Castle side, with Honey scoring our only goal.
The team showed tremendous resilience, working hard until the final whistle and supporting each other throughout. While the result didn’t go our way, the girls can be proud of their effort and teamwork, which was excellent from start to finish. The girls now enter the plate competition and we await our opponents for round 1.
Boys’ Fixture (Football)
On Monday, ten of our Year 5/6 boys competed in the first round of the Hampshire Schools’ Cup. The boys put in a fantastic performance, showing great determination and teamwork, and were rewarded with a well-deserved victory of 3-1, which will progress them to the next round.
Their hard work in training clearly paid off as they created chances, defended strongly, and took their opportunities in front of goal. It was a brilliant result, and we look forward to seeing how far the boys can go in the competition.
