Published 10/11/2510 girls from years 5 & 6 competed in a Girls Football competition:Ten talented girls from Years 5 and 6 recently took part in a Girls’ Football Competition, showcasing fantastic teamwork, determination, and skill throughout the event. The team played brilliantly, finishing in an impressive fourth place, just missing out on a medal due to goal difference. Their positive attitude, encouragement of others, and outstanding sportsmanship were recognised as they proudly received the Spirit of the Games Award for their kindness and fair play, a true reflection of their character both on and off the pitch!
10 children went to a year 3 Tri Golf festival: Ten enthusiastic Year 3 children took part in a fun-filled Tri Golf Festival, where they had the chance to try out a variety of exciting golf-themed games and activities. The children showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination throughout the event, developing new skills while having plenty of fun. It was a fantastic day that left everyone smiling and inspired to keep active and try new sports!

15 children from year 2 attended a Team Gym festival: Our Year 2 children had a fantastic time at the Team Gym Festival, where they enjoyed a variety of fun warm-up games and had the opportunity to try out lots of different gymnastics apparatus and skills. The children showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and confidence as they explored new movements and challenges, a brilliant experience for all involved!

16 children from year 6 competed as 2 teams in a Bee Netball event
We were delighted to take two Year 6 teams to compete in a recent Bee Netball event. Both teams played brilliantly, showing fantastic teamwork, determination, and skill throughout the competition. One team finished an impressive third place, remaining unbeaten in all their games, while the other team was proudly awarded the Spirit of the Games Award for their outstanding sportsmanship and positive attitude. A fantastic achievement for everyone involved!

15 girls from years 5 & 6 went to a Rugby Festival
Fifteen girls from Years 5 and 6 recently attended a Rugby Festival hosted by Havant and Waterlooville Rugby Club. The event was a fantastic opportunity for the girls to take part in fun, tag rugby-style games designed to introduce and inspire interest in the sport. They showed brilliant teamwork, energy, and enthusiasm throughout the afternoon, finishing the session with a lively small-sided game. A great experience that left everyone eager to play again!

Published 30/09/25Girls’ Fixture (Football)
Last week, ten of our Year 5/6 girls took part in the first round of the Hampshire Schools’ Cup, travelling away to Castle Primary. Despite a determined performance, the girls were beaten 4–1 by a strong Castle side, with Honey scoring our only goal.
The team showed tremendous resilience, working hard until the final whistle and supporting each other throughout. While the result didn’t go our way, the girls can be proud of their effort and teamwork, which was excellent from start to finish. The girls now enter the plate competition and we await our opponents for round 1.
Boys’ Fixture (Football)
On Monday, ten of our Year 5/6 boys competed in the first round of the Hampshire Schools’ Cup. The boys put in a fantastic performance, showing great determination and teamwork, and were rewarded with a well-deserved victory of 3-1, which will progress them to the next round.
Their hard work in training clearly paid off as they created chances, defended strongly, and took their opportunities in front of goal. It was a brilliant result, and we look forward to seeing how far the boys can go in the competition.

Published 25/07/25Gold Football Competition (Year 5/6)
A group of 14 Year 5/6 pupils took part in a Gold Football Competition, facing teams from Clanfield and Hart Plain. Our children showed fantastic teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout; some even stepped in to support other teams when needed. After a strong run of performances, our team narrowly missed out on the top spot, losing 1–0 to Clanfield in a closely contested final.Silver Football Event (Year 5/6)
QI proudly hosted a Silver Football Event for Year 5/6, with two teams representing the school. A total of 20 boys and girls took part, with QI Green battling their way to the final. After a tense match, the result came down to penalties, where Hart Plain narrowly came out on top. Both QI teams displayed great resilience, respect, and a fantastic attitude throughout the tournament. - Read More

Published 30/06/25Dragons' Den
Two groups of four children recently had the exciting opportunity to attend Crookhorn School and take part in their annual Dragons’ Den competition. The challenge involved designing a storyboard based on a new story of their choice, using air-dry modelling clay to create key elements, and then presenting their work to the group and teachers from the college.
All the children thoroughly enjoyed the morning, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills. We're thrilled to share that one of our groups was crowned the overall winner!


Year 6 Outdoor Adventurous ActivitiesEleven children from Year 6 had a fantastic day out at Staunton Country Park, taking part in a series of outdoor adventurous activities. The pupils explored the beautiful park and its grounds, working together on orienteering challenges, yoga sessions, and team-building games. They also enjoyed making delicious fruit kebabs and took part in healthy eating activities, helping them learn about making good choices while having fun in the fresh air. The children showed brilliant teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day!

Year 5/6 Tennis Festival
Twelve children from Years 5 and 6 visited HTC to take part in a Tennis Festival this term. During the event, they learned the rules of doubles tennis, practised the scoring system, and played several friendly matches against other local schools. The children represented the school brilliantly and were awarded the Spirit of the Games trophy for demonstrating the School Games Values of Honesty, Teamwork, Respect, Passion, and Determination. Children in Years 3 to 6 had a fantastic time taking part in our KS2 Enrichment Day, where they experienced a range of unique and exciting activities. From rock climbing and the leap of faith to caving, archery, and fencing, each year group tackled at least three different activities. It was wonderful to see all the children showing tremendous determination and resilience as they faced their fears and challenged themselves. Well done to everyone for embracing the adventure and making the most of this brilliant opportunity!

Key Stage 1 Enrichment Day
Despite the unpredictable weather, our KS1 children had a wonderful time during their enrichment day. The pupils bounced their way through Boogie Bounce sessions, showing great determination to keep going even in the rain. They also enjoyed exploring the history and moves of Bollywood and Indian dancing in an energetic workshop with Bollywood Vibes. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, energy and enjoyment throughout the day.
