Year 4 Badminton

Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic Badminton Festival where all children had the chance to try a range of focused activities designed to develop their racket skills, coordination, and agility. The pupils fully embraced each challenge, showing brilliant enthusiasm and determination. It was wonderful to see everyone learning new techniques and having so much fun throughout the session.

Year 5 & 6 Friendly Football

Our Year 5 & 6 Silver Team took part in a friendly football match against Purbrook. Although the team didn’t come away with a win, the team played with incredible spirit and enjoyed plenty of game time to put their skills into practice. Their positive attitude and willingness to keep pushing until the end made it a valuable experience for all involved.

Year 1 Ball Skills Festival

Year 1 attended their very first sports event, taking part in a Ball Skills Festival filled with exciting challenges. The children shone throughout, scoring the most points across the entire event and demonstrating fantastic coordination and teamwork. It was wonderful to see our youngest sportspeople perform so confidently and enjoy their first taste of competitive sport.

Year 5 & 6 Gold Football Tournament

Our Year 5 & 6 Gold Team competed in a highly competitive football tournament, playing several close and exciting matches against 13 other schools within the cluster. The team performed brilliantly, showing strong teamwork and resilience, ultimately finishing second overall, narrowly missing out on the top spot by just one point. A superb achievement in a very tough competition!

Year 5 Aquasplash

Year 5 enjoyed a fun-filled Aquasplash event, giving children the chance to develop their swimming confidence through a variety of water-based games and activities. The pupils had a fantastic time, showing great teamwork and energy while building important water safety and swimming skills in a supportive environment.

Year 5 & 6 Girls Plate Competition

Our Year 5 & 6 girls football team put on an impressive performance in the Girls Plate Competition. They battled through to the second round, securing a brilliant 1–0 victory over Knightingale. The girls displayed outstanding teamwork, determination, and energy throughout the match, a fantastic effort from the whole squad.

Year 5 & 6 Badminton Competition

Three groups of Year 5 & 6 pupils represented the school across the badminton competition leagues. Their hard work and skill led to outstanding results: 1st place in the Gold group, along with 1st and 2nd places in the Silver competition. Every child contributed to their team’s success, playing with confidence, focus, and great sportsmanship. The winners of the gold group will now advance to the county finals! 

Year 5 & 6 Table Tennis Festival

Children from Years 5 and 6 had the opportunity to take part in a Table Tennis Festival, where many pupils tried the sport for the very first time. The event was a brilliant chance for everyone to learn new skills, develop coordination, and enjoy friendly challenges. It was fantastic to see so many children engaged, improving, and having fun.

Year 5 & 6 Hampshire Cup – 2nd Round Football

Our Year 5 & 6 boys team competed in the second round of the Hampshire Cup against Portsmouth Grammar School. Despite a determined and hard-fought performance, the team was narrowly defeated 3–2. The boys showed exceptional resilience, creating several strong chances in the final minutes and demonstrating fantastic character throughout the match. A performance they can be proud of.

Year 5 & 6 Silver football friendly

A different set of Year 5 & 6 football enthusiast formed our second Silver Team of the year that took part in a friendly football match against Clanfield, ending in a well-deserved 1–1 draw. It was a hard-fought game from start to finish, with plenty of exciting moments at both ends. The match provided a fantastic opportunity for many players to shine, gain valuable experience, and continue developing their skills. A great performance from the whole team! 

Year 5 & 6 Basketball Competition

Six Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in an exciting Basketball Competition, beginning with a skills session where they practised shooting and dribbling. They then moved into the match phase, taking on eight schools and performing brilliantly throughout. With just one narrow loss, the team’s hard work paid off as they finished the event as gold medal winners!
